I remember listening to nothing but this album for almost two months when it first came out.
As an artist, Bobby McFerrin has always been a draw to me. His improvisational ease and technical skill, of course, but his willingness to stretch and explore, as well, has captured my attention. A few of his albums and maybe a few interviews will pop up in the rotation, but this is a cornerstone. Bobby and more than 50 other voices, composed and arranged, and absolutely spell-binding. Don’t have time for the whole thing? Check out He Ran to the Train, definitely my favorite track.
